ADEPT Rip Open the Gates of “Heaven” After Nearly a Decade in the Shadows

ADEPT Rip Open the Gates of “Heaven” After Nearly a Decade in the Shadows

ADEPT’s “Heaven” Is a Ferocious Comeback That Bleeds Emotion and Breaks Bones

Swedish metalcore juggernauts ADEPT have just detonated their way back into our playlists with “Heaven” - a seismic return that screams defiance, catharsis, and everything we've been missing for the last nine years. That’s right, nine years of silence obliterated in a single, thunderclap of a track.

Hailing from the frosty depths of Trosa, Sweden, ADEPT carved their legacy into the European metalcore scene back in the early 2000s. Known for their explosive live shows and genre-redefining anthems, they quickly escalated from hometown heroes to international stage-scorchers - rubbing elbows and tearing up stages alongside A Day To Remember, Underoath, and Bring Me The Horizon. When they resurfaced at 2024’s Core Fest in Stuttgart, the buzz was electric - equal parts reunion joy and comeback curiosity. Now, with the release of “Heaven,” it's safe to say: the kings are back, and they’re not interested in playing it safe.

“Heaven” isn’t just a comeback single. It’s a full-blown exorcism. A jagged, emotional bleed-out drenched in guilt, grief, and the ghosts that never quite stay buried. From the get-go, you're thrown headfirst into a cyclone of savage riffs, melancholic undercurrents, and a breakdown that’ll crush your soul twice before breakfast. Frontman Robert Ljung flips between guttural growls and sky-high clean vocals like he’s been bottling up this scream for a decade - and now the lid’s off.

The track’s official music video lands with cinematic precision - moody aesthetics, visceral imagery, and enough existential weight to keep your chest heavy for days. It's modern metalcore storytelling with teeth.

Robert Ljung on the track:“‘Heaven’ is a dark and emotional song about carrying old scars into the present and learning how to face them. It’s built around heavy riffs, a massive chorus, and a lot of raw emotion. Lyrically, it’s about holding on to unresolved parts of your past but also about finding the strength to face them and move forward.”

Produced and mixed by scene heavyweight Henrik Udd (Architects, BMTH, At the Gates), “Heaven” is polished without losing its bite. Recording duties were split between Ljung and guitarist/producer Gustav Lithammer, while mastering was entrusted to Thomas "Plec" Johansson (Soilwork, Opeth, Scar Symmetry) at Panic Room Studios. The final result? A sonic molotov that captures the bleeding heart of ADEPT in all its glory.

Watch the official video for “Heaven” and prepare to be emotionally annihilated:

ADEPT aren’t just back - they’ve returned swinging with something to prove. “Heaven” is your warning shot: the silence is over. Now, it’s time to scream.
