Wednesday 13 Teams Up with Faster Pussycat's Taime Downe: "This is the most Rock n' Roll song I've written in Years"

Wednesday 13 Unleashes "No Apologies" feat. Faster Pussycat's Taime Downe

Laying waste to stages across North America like a gothic banshee on speed, WEDNESDAY 13 is knee-deep in his There's No Such Thing As Monsters tour – a full-throttle celebration of Transylvania 90210 turning the big 2-0. But because the Duke of Spook can’t help but kick things up a notch, he's just dropped a hellacious curveball from the crypt: a brand-spankin’ new single, “No Apologies”, featuring sleaze rock royalty, Taime Downe of Faster Pussycat. This little firecracker comes screaming off the tracklist of the upcoming slab of sonic chaos, Mid Death Crisis, crashing into our undead hearts this Friday, April 25, courtesy of Napalm Records.

And you can trust that “No Apologies” doesn’t tiptoe into the fray. It kicks the damn door down with snarling guitar riffs hotter than Hell’s furnace and lyrics sharp enough to leave scars. It’s a venom-laced anthem for exorcising toxic demons and the two-faced parasites who wear human skin. Oh, and did we mention? It’s paired with a blistering new music video, dripping with attitude and featuring none other than Faster Pussycat's Taime Downe himself.

On the track, WEDNESDAY 13 spills his guts:

"This is the most rock n' roll song I’ve written in years. I wanted to go back to my roots, and my roots are 80s glam. The name at the top of that list was Faster Pussycat, so it made total sense to have Taime Downe guest on this track. Having one of my rock n' roll idols alongside me in the studio was an honor. We whipped up a nasty little middle finger salute to ourselves on this one, and the result is 'No Apologies'."

With the sonic mad science of guitarist Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z’Nuff, Antiproduct) behind the production, and Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver) cranking the mix into overdrive, this record oozes the sleazy, infectious spirit of 80s metal decadence. Think blood, leather, and more hooks than a Cenobite's closet.

From the jump, eerie opener “There's No Such Thing As Monsters” sizzles with electric menace before launching headlong into “Decease and Desist”—a chainsaw-to-the-face, industrial-tinged ripper where WEDNESDAY’s unmistakable croon comes out swinging. First single “When the Devil Commands” kicks like a mule, packing an arena-ready hook, seismic drums, and chugging riffs that feel like they were forged in a hellish steel mill.

But don’t get too cozy—“Rotting Away” and “Blood Storm” rip through the speakers with gothic punk venom, guaranteed to get the pit swirling like a cursed carousel. Then there’s “No Apologies”, a snarling brawler featuring Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe, serving up a blistering exorcism of every toxic demon you never knew you had. And just when you think you've caught your breath, “Decapitation” creeps in—a murder ballad dressed in leather and lace, with a riff that seduces before yanking you into a diabolical 60s sock hop from Hell.

Ragers like “In Misery”, “Xanaxtasy”, and “Sick and Violent” drag the album through various metal underworlds, from bone-crushing heaviness to tripped-out madness. And for those who like their horror with a side of heartbreak, downtempo dirges “I Hurt You” and “My Funeral” pull the curtain back on a more brooding, introspective WEDNESDAY.

Despite what the title Mid Death Crisis might have you believe, WEDNESDAY 13 is showing no signs of slowing down. This album is a graveyard stomp through sleaze, horror, and headbanging glory—another wicked notch in the belt of his blood-soaked legacy.
