Wednesday 13 Drops New Music Video

The Duke of Spook is back - and he’s dragging his latest nightmare across North America!

Wednesday 13 is currently tearing up stages on his "There's No Such Thing As Monsters" tour, celebrating 20 macabre years of Transylvania 90210. But that’s just the beginning—his new album, Mid Death Crisis, is set to unleash its gory glory on April 25, 2025, via Napalm Records.

Hot on the heels of the eerily addictive "When The Devil Commands," the second single "In Misery" has arrived to haunt your speakers. A sinister cocktail of goth-punk attitude and sleaze-metal swagger, this track slithers between genres with a venomous hook that won’t let go.

Wednesday 13 himself spills the guts on "In Misery":

"There are too many love songs out there about people confessing their love to one another. I wanted to do the exact opposite, and confess the misery of being in a bad relationship. Hopelessly, madly in misery with someone. I see it every day, people miserable together. I see it almost as much as I see people happily together. Some people enjoy misery, and this song is about enjoying that misery as much as someone in Love.”

After shaking the grave with 2022’s Horrifier (#8 on the US Top New Artist Albums chart) and a slew of major tours — including Murderdolls reunion shows—the horror-rock maestro is back to raise hell with Mid Death Crisis. A full-throttle return to his hard-rock roots, the album is pure, brain-melting fun, produced by Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z'Nuff, Antiproduct) and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver).

From the electrifying opener "There's No Such Thing As Monsters" to the industrial punch of "Decease and Desist," this album doesn’t just creep—it thrashes. "When the Devil Commands" flexes arena-rock power with an irresistible hook, while "Rotting Away" and "Blood Storm" bring that metallic goth-punk chaos that’ll have pits swirling in a frenzy.

Heavy-hitter "No Apologies" features Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe, turning toxic demons into a rock ‘n’ roll exorcism, while "Decapitation" lures listeners into a sinister 60s sock-hop gone horribly wrong. Meanwhile, "Xanaxtasy," "Sick and Violent," and "In Misery" dive headfirst into a cauldron of metal madness, while moodier cuts like "I Hurt You" and "My Funeral" explore the darker corners of the psyche.

Despite its grim title, Mid Death Crisis proves that Wednesday 13 is far from finished — this is horror rock at its unhinged best!
