About Tanya Roberts

Raised in Africa, Tanya Roberts spent her early years on tea plantations, atop mountains, at the edge of deserts, and near jungles—an environment that sparked a deep creative inspiration. [Name]'s artistic journey began with drawing safari animals and studying animal guidebooks, which gradually evolved into creating comics and characters influenced by animation art books from favorite movies.

When Tanya started boarding school in Scotland, her artistic skills became a refuge. Often feeling like the outsider as the "weird kid" who grew up chasing monkeys in Africa, Tanya focused on creating imaginative worlds and immersing in beloved films.

College became a turning point, as Tanya found a community of like-minded individuals who shared a passion for character creation, even if they hadn’t experienced a similar upbringing.

After college, Tanya joined the online art community DeviantArt and traveled the world, connecting with fellow artists. Attending the first San Diego Comic-Con was a revelation; having realized she'd been creating comics all along and decided to pursue the craft professionally. This led to early projects like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Toy Story, which led to a busy and fulfilling career in comics.

Tanya has since married and became a parent to two wonderful children, discovering that it was possible to balance a thriving artistic passion with family life. Together with her husband, they have created the comic book series, Abeyance.
